About the
1693 Alliance

Our Mission

The 1693 Alliance’s primary mission is twofold. First, it aims to promote, support, and advance charitable organizations and causes and to make a positive impact on the Greater Williamsburg Community. Second, it aims to provide opportunities for William & Mary athletes to optimize their personal brands and to monetize their name, image, and likeness (NIL) and notoriety. In order to serve this mission, the 1693 Alliance generates revenue from individuals and businesses wishing to provide opportunities for William & Mary athletes to promote, work for, and deepen their relationships with charitable organizations in the Williamsburg area. In addition to this charitable focus, the 1693 Alliance also facilitates opportunities for William & Mary athletes to promote and work with area businesses.
